Who We Are
The Co-Artist Studio is a specialty hair studio located in Capitola, California, serving Santa Cruz, Soquel, Aptos, Scotts Valley, and the surrounding coast.
We are not a traditional full-service salon. Our work is focused, intentional, and refined. Our studio is home to independent artists who have chosen to specialize not generalize.
With advanced training across blonding, dry cutting, and curly hair techniques, each stylist brings a refined eye and a distinct approach to their craft.
This is not a one-size-fits-all salon. It’s a space where your hair is approached based on what it actually needs. The result is intentional, lived-in hair that feels effortless—and entirely your own.

At The Co-Artist Studio, you are the co-artist and every great collaboration starts with your vision.
We ask that you come to your appointment with ideas, inspiration photos, and a clear sense of what you're drawn to. This is your starting point, and we want to hear it. Our stylists are trained to listen first not to tell you what you should want, but to understand what you already do.
From there, we bring our expertise. We'll offer honest guidance, share what we know about technique, maintenance, and what will work best with your hair and together, we co-create something that feels like you.
This isn't a consultation where we decide for you. It's a conversation where your input drives the direction.
